This lagoon is every beginner kitesurfer's dream.

The biggest advantage of the Zandmotor is the large, shallow lagoon. Here, you are not bothered by the North Sea waves. This mirror-flat water makes it much easier to get your board on and ride your first meters. You can stand everywhere, which provides a huge sense of security. Kite drops? No problem. You just walk over to it. These conditions allow you to fully focus on the kite and your board, without having to fight the waves.

The kitesurfing season at the Zandmotor runs from March through October, with the best conditions in spring and summer. The cost of a beginner's course starts from €269 for three days, including all equipment.
The Zandmotor's lagoon is mostly shallow, which is ideal for lessons. The depth can vary with the tide, but even at high tide, you can still stand in most places. Our instructors know the spot perfectly and ensure that lessons always take place in the safe, shallow area.
The Zandmotor is a popular spot, but due to its enormous size, there is almost always enough space. There are separate zones for kitesurfing schools and advanced kitesurfers, which ensures a safe and organized environment. When you take a lesson with us, we operate in an area specially reserved for us.
Absolutely! After completing your course and obtaining your IKO certificate, the Zandmotor is a fantastic place to continue practicing independently. Don't have your own gear yet?
