Kitesurfspot has the intellectual property rights to the content of this website and all (free) products and services. This means that it is not allowed to use wholly or partially texts, images and content for your own online platform, social media and other online channels without explicit written permission.

Privacy policy‍

Kitesurfspot respects the privacy of all visitors to the website www.kitesurfspot.nl, of the (potential) relationships and (potential) customers. Personal data is therefore treated with care. This information is not sold, traded or shared with parties that are not related to Kitesurfspot's services.

Minors' personal data‍

Kitesurfspot does not intend to collect data from website visitors who are younger than 16 years old. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. Unfortunately, Kitesurfspot cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16 years. That is why Kitesurfspot recommends that parents of children under 16 be actively involved in their children's online activities. This is to prevent the collection of data about their children without parental consent. How is your information used?‍

The data is collected and stored for the following purposes:

  • First name, last name, e-mail address uses Kitesurfspot to send commercial mailings, newsletters, send requested free downloads, send free online documents and retargeting for Facebook ads. This is only done with the data obtained by downloading free documents, requesting free services. This does not happen with data received via our contact forms.
  • First name, last name, e-mail address, company name, company address, VAT number (for Belgian customers only) and telephone number are data that is stored when purchasing a product or service.

Kitesurfspot uses the data you provide to make the orders as quick and easy as possible. Kitesurfspot will not sell and/or provide your information to third parties. The data will only be made available to third parties if they are involved in processing the order.

When paying for a product and/or service, this data is stored in the Viking online booking system and are also used to prepare a correct invoice using Moneybird, which is automatically sent to the specified e-mail address after purchase.

Kitesurfspot always uses a secure payment environment for this. Payment information is processed by our Payment Service Provider Mollie. Kitesurfspot does not have access to this. The order data is also stored in Mailchimp so that the ordered products and services can be handled correctly and the correct mailings are received about this. Please note that both Viking booking system, Moneybird, Mollie and Mailchimp have their own terms of use and privacy statement.

The data that we store for this purpose is:

  • First and last name
    To deliver the order to the right person
  • (Business) address, zip code and place of residence
    We use this address for the correct delivery of your order
  • Phone number
    If Kitesurfspot wants to inform you about the order or provide changed information about your training/course at the last minute, we will also do this by phone at certain times.
  • email address
    With each order, you will receive a confirmation by email from Kitesurfspot as soon as the order has been received.
  • IP address
    The IP address is stored when placing the order to recognize abuse during payment. If a transaction starts and is not completed, the transaction data (name, address, email, and IP) will be deleted from the server at the end of this month.

Sharing with third parties‍

Kitesurfspot only shares your personal data with third parties when this is necessary to perform the service (such as administration, customer service and technical support) or to comply with any legal obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process the data on our behalf that complies with the General Data Protection Regulation. In doing so, Kitesurfspot ensures the same level of security and confidentiality of the data.

Viking Bookings‍

Kitesurfspot uses the online booking system of Viking.

Kitesurfspot uses the data you provide to make the request as quick and easy as possible. Kitesurfspot will not sell and/or provide your information to third parties. The data will only be made available to third parties if they are involved in processing the order.

Facebook‍

On www.kitesurfspot.nl the Facebook pixel, which collects data for Facebook advertising, is used. These are cookies for which you were also able to see the cookie message when the website was visited. For more information about cookies on the website, please refer to the β€œcookies” section of this privacy statement.

The email address, first name, phone number and behavior on the website can be shared with Facebook to create a customized audience for Facebook advertising. Email addresses are provided and anonymized to create target groups that Kitesurfspot wants to approach with Facebook ads. Kitesurfspot then receives reports about this with anonymized data.

If you do not want ads to be shown via this platform, please indicate this via info@kitesurfspot.nl. It is also possible to unsubscribe from facebook.

Please note: it is possible that kitesurfspot.nl ads will still be displayed afterwards. Then the person is in the general target group where kitesurfing spot focuses its ads on.

Mailchimp‍

With your permission, Kitesurfspot uses Mailchimp site tracking. Site tracking places a cookie that keeps track of which pages on the website are viewed. The personal data is stored in the Kitesurfspot email system and this goes via Mailchimp's servers.

Google analytics‍

The statistics package, Google Analytics, also places cookies. Kitesurfspot would like to know how our visitors use the website and how many people visit the website every month, so that we can optimize the use of the website. Kitesurfspot does not want unwanted tracking, but kitesurfspot wants to provide the customer with the best possible service and that requires good statistics. With Google Analytics, the information is anonymized as much as possible. The IP address is explicitly not used. You can therefore not personally trace Kitesurfspot. If the information is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, the customer can request Kitesurfspot in writing to change or supplement the data.

In addition, there is the right to erase personal data, a right to restrict processing and a right to object to processing.

In addition, there is the right to transfer or make the data transferable. You can also submit a written request for this. Written form also includes by e-mail. The request can be mailed to info@kitesurfspot.nl.

To ensure that such a request has been made by the customer, we ask the customer to send a copy of the identity document with the request. In this copy, make the passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and social security number (BSN) black. This is to protect privacy. Kitesurfspot responds to the request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks. If Kitesurfspot does not meet this deadline, we will let you know as soon as possible.
